The Saturday Club

Wayne, PA

Built in 1898, The Saturday Club was built as a women’s organization meeting place and center for their philanthropic pursuits. Structural issues over time warranted an overhaul in 2005, inclusive of ADA modifications. A steel tie rod system was installed to stabilize the roof & wall connections while an exterior ramp, interior porch and bathroom additions and modifications were installed to make the facility accessible to all. Additionally, the Lower Level Kitchen was upgraded to a full commercial grade facility. This renovation enabled the building to qualify for The National Register of Historic Places. Also available for private rentals, this building provides a valuable resource to the Wayne community
